Finally! Microsoft now launches its first Copilot+ PCs, equipped with AI-powered functions. The new Surface Pro 11th edition and Surface Laptop 7th edition are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series chips with 64GB memory (RAM) configurations and 1TB SSD Storage.

These new high-powered devices give you immersive displays, AI companion, intelligent functions, sleek designs and faster performance. Unfortunately, some users are having trouble with their new Surface Copilot Plus PCs. Microsoft releases recovery images to help you refresh or reset your Surface device. Check out the method below.
How to Create Recovery Images and Recovery Drive for Surface Pro and Laptop
To start, you need to download the recovery image from the official Microsoft support site. Prior to download, make sure you have a USB 3.0 or higher drive formatted to FAT32 file system with 32 GB size. You also need to obtain your device’s serial number, which is found under the kickstand of your device.

Now, go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surface-recovery-image. At the bottom, choose your Surface device and enter the serial number. Follow the instructions on how to download the recovery image.
After you successfully downloaded the recovery image, you need to create a recovery drive. This is where you will access your recovery tools to reset your Surface device to its factory settings.
To create a recovery drive, first insert your USB drive. Hit Start and search for Recovery Drive. Choose Create a recovery drive or Recovery Drive. Next, enter your admin password if asked or confirm the option.
Select Yes when asked in the User Account Control box. Look for Back up system files to the recovery drive and clear the box. Click Next and choose your USB drive. Choose Next and then Create. Now, you have to wait.
After copying all the utilities to your recovery drive, hit Finish. Look for the recovery image zip file and double click to open it. Highlight all the files and copy and paste them to your USB recovery drive. Click Choose to replace the files in the destination.
Now that you have copied all the files, choose Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media. You can then remove your USB drive.
That’s it! Simply follow the instructions and you can obtain the recovery images for your Surface device.
