If you’re in the UK and watch TV regularly, you’ve probably come across the terms ‘ITVX’ and ‘ITV Hub’. But what exactly is the difference between these two? In this blog post, we will explore the key differences between ITVX and ITV Hub services. From content to price and more, read on to find out everything you need to know about these two popular TV streaming platforms from the UK.

What is ITVX?

ITVX is a video streaming service coming from the United Kingdom. Starting on November 17, 2022, the service was made available to the public, with the formal launch date set for December 8.

More original content will be available on ITVX than on ITV Hub, bringing ITV’s digital offering in line with that of the BBC and Channel Four. The Chase and Hell’s Kitchen, for example, will each have their own virtual linear channel thanks to ITVX’s access to BritBox and a few FAST channels.

Before 2015, the ITVX service was referred to as “ITV Player.” The ITV app and website (formerly known as ITV Player) were rebranded as the ITV Hub on November 23, 2015. There are at least 30 million subscribers signed up for the program as of August 2021.

What is ITV Hub?

The ITV Hub is the home of ITV on demand and live TV. It’s your place to stream box sets, catch up on the latest dramas and reality shows and get exclusive behind the scenes access to your favorite shows.

You can watch the ITV Hub on your computer, mobile phone, tablet, smart TV, games console or via our app. You can also find us on Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media and BT TV.

If you’re a UKTV Play customer, you’ll still be able to login and watch all your favorite shows on demand. But if you’re not a UKTV Play customer, don’t worry – you can still watch some of our most popular programmes live or on demand through the ITV Hub. Just head to itvhub.com to get started.
