The Apple iCloud service can give you more storage space to save your files, photos, and videos. It is a cloud-based tool that you can sync from one Apple device to another. Many users prefer to have a higher tier plan when it comes to their iCloud storage subscription. However, if you no longer need the extra space, you can downgrade or cancel your iCloud storage plan at anytime.

Note that the free iCloud storage plan has only 5GB of storage space. Apple One users do not need the extra iCloud storage subscription. Signing up on Apple One will already include iCloud storage service.

How to Manage your Apple iCloud Storage Subscription Plan

You can manage your Apple iCloud storage subscription on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Windows 10 computer. From there you can downgrade, upgrade or cancel your subscription plan altogether. By cancelling your iCloud storage subscription, you are basically downgrading to the free plan and stop paying for a paid tier. But, before you follow the steps below, make sure you sign in with the same Apple ID you use on your iCloud.
