Many people are using Twitter for private and work-related purposes. However, a lot of users experience upload errors when they try to post a tweet with a media. They see the error message, “Some of your media failed to upload.”
According to some users, there are no violations on their tweets or media files based on the guidelines. Still, Twitter is blocking their tweets. Any file format for image and video is affected by this error including jpg/jpeg, gif, png mp4. It happens mostly to new accounts in the social media platform with few followers on their profiles.
Fixing the Twitter or X Error Message “Some of your media failed to upload”

If you keep on seeing the error message whenever you try to post a tweet, there are several ways on how you can fix the problem. Follow each method one at a time and see if it will help you troubleshoot and solve the upload issue.
#1 – Pass the Google Security Check with reCAPTCHA

In most cases, users confirmed that a simple security check helped them fix the error. You will need Google to send you a verification that you are not a robot. To do this, complete the CAPTCHA provided.
To trigger the Google CAPTCHA check, post a tweet without any media. Google will prompt verification. Once you have passed the security check, you can then upload media on your tweets.
- Post a tweet on Twitter using only texts.
- After hitting the Post button, it will direct you to the “Pass a Google reCAPTCHA challenge”
- Click the Start button.
- A new page will appear asking you, “Are you a robot?”
- Check the “I’m not a robot.” box.
- Click the Continue button.
- A Thank you Page will appear.
- Click the Continue to Twitter.
- You will be directed to your Twitter profile.
#2 – Clear Your Search History
There are different ways to clear the search history of each browser.

Chrome
- Click the More button.
- Go to History.
- Select History.
- Click the Clear Browsing Data.
- Select All Time to clear all history.
- Click Clear Data.
Firefox
- Go to History.
- Select Clear Recent History.
- Check the Browsing & Download History.
- Check the Form & Search History.
- Click Clear Now.
Microsoft Edge
- Launch the Menu option.
- Select History.
- Click the Clear History button.
- Check the Browsing history box.
- Click Clear.
#3 – Disable VPN Server Connection

Another way to fix the Twitter media upload error is to disable the VPN server you are using. Disconnect the VPN service and try to post the tweet with the media again and see if it works or not. You can re-enable the VPN connection once done.
Some users will have to deal with this Twitter media error for several times in a row. But, once you get a few followers on your profile, and you have been tweeting a several tweets for a while, the error just goes away for good.

I was facing the same issue, I then tried the mobile app Twitter (On Andriod) and it worked fine.
