Both error codes point out a payment issue that prevents you from making your purchases successfully on the Google app store using Google Pay. Blocked by these issues will result in pending payments to your bank or canceled transactions on Google Play. However, these problems arise due to different reasons.

It is frustrating to encounter error code OR-RWE-03 or OR-RWE-02 when paying online, especially when your credit card or bank details link to the purchase and your Google Pay account. But, these payment issues may not always be due to your side. It can also be a problem with Google Play Store servers or maybe an issue with the Google Pay payment platform. However, you can’t discount a problem with your credit card or bank account information.

You can find below several solutions that will help you troubleshoot the error and fix the OR-RWE-03 and OR-RWE-02 payment issues on Google Play Store when using Google Pay as your payment method.

Method #1 – Check for Google Play Server Outage

There is a huge chance that the issue lies with Google Play Store and not with your payment method. Sometimes, server outages happen while you are making a purchase. You can check the service status of Google Play if there are outages on its servers. Once the problem is with Google Play, you can wait for Google to fix it and retry making payment for your purchase again.

Method #2 – Switch to a Different Payment Method

Do you have other payment methods on Google Play? You may want to switch to it and see if it works. Ideally, you need to use your credit card in making a purchase.

  • Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
  • Tap the item that you want to purchase.
  • Select your current payment method.
  • Choose a different payment method.
  • Now, complete your purchase.

Method #3 – Clear Google Play Cache

  • Launch the Settings menu of your Android phone or tablet device.
  • Go to Apps.
  • Select Google Play Store.
  • Navigate to Storage.
  • Tap Clear Cache.
  • Go back to Apps.
  • Choose Google Play Services.
  • Select Storage.
  • Tap Clear Cache.
  • Restart your Android device.

Method #4 – Check for Alerts on Google Pay

  • Open Google Pay on any web browser.
  • Sign in to your account.
  • Go to the upper right corner.
  • Check the Bell icon for any pending alert.
  • Follow the instructions to resolve the alert.

Method #5 – Re-Add your Payment Details

  • Open Google Play Store on an Android mobile device.
  • On the top left corner, tap the three-lined icon.
  • Select Account.
  • Go to Payment Methods.
  • Choose More Payment Settings.
  • Remove your current payment details.
  • Tap Add Credit or Debit Card.
  • Enter your payment information again.

Method #6 – Update Google Play Store App

  • Open the Google Play Store app on your Android phone or tablet.
  • Tap your Profile Picture.
  • Select Settings.
  • Choose About.
  • Tap Play Store Version.
  • Install available updates.
  • Restart your device.
