T-Mobile, the renowned Germany-based giant telecommunications company, has been spending the last century launching high-end solutions, products, and services to cater to millions of users. The company even has almost the same chunk of the market share as the other two household names, AT&T and Verizon.

With an extensive network in more than 210 countries and approximately 104 million subscribers, it’s almost always expected that some hiccups with T-Mobile’s services will occur. Every time they try to send text messages, some users have reported getting error codes 500, 9230, or 50.

How to Troubleshoot and Fix T-Mobile Error 500, 9230, or 50 When Sending Text Messages

If you ever encounter any of these errors on T-Mobile, here are some things you can do to fix them:

Ensure Proper Network Connection

The first thing you can do is to make sure that your mobile is properly connected to the T-Mobile network. By doing so, your messages are going to be sent because other networks have the discretion not to do so.

If you are using a WiFi network connection, you can also try to send your message again after you disconnect it. It is to ensure that the T-Mobile network will be the one to send the message.

Check Credit Sufficiency on your T-Mobile Account

This might sound a bit obvious but yes, make sure you also check your current balance. Remember that this messenger system requires credit in the same way that you need credit to make calls. It means that if your balance is already running low, you might not be able to send your messages and you might get the error codes 500, 9230, or 50.

Also, take note that you will need more data if your message contains more information or elements. Animated items, pictures, and GIFs will all require more credits before you can send them out.

Update Your Mobile Device Firmware

The firmware is the program that makes it possible for the system to function with your mobile’s equipment. Simply put, the firmware connects the hardware and the software.

Since there’s no way for manufacturers to predict problems with their electronics, they roll out new firmware updates designed to fix such issues whenever they occur.

So if there is an available firmware update for your mobile, make sure that you go ahead and proceed with it. Once you are done with the update, you can also restart your mobile and try sending the message again to see if it fixed the issue.

Check Your Available Mobile Storage

All those apps you download and the long hours you stay connected will always take up the memory and space of your mobile device. For most modern mobile phones, features like messenger services require a minimum of 15% free storage for them to function properly.

To ensure that you have enough space and memory, make sure you clean your system of temporary files or unused data. You also need to clear your cache frequently and restart your device afterward.

Encountering error codes 500, 9230, or 50 every time you send text messages using T-mobile may be a minor annoyance that you may be able to fix using the above tips.

  1. I tried all that and then some. I just upgraded from a pixel 6 to a pixel 7 pro. I’ve had this phone for 3 days it’s already doing the same thing when I send a text giving that 500 error code. it’s so damn annoying and nothing helps. this is the first time I had T-Mobile and unless something changes it will damn sure be the last

  2. I used to love the Google pixel phones. I just upgraded from the 6th to a seven pro. The sixth was terrible in my opinion. this one I’ve had for 3 days and so far I’m having the same problem when I’m sending messages with that 500 error code. I don’t know if it’s the phone or T-Mobile but for the price we pay for phones they should not be happening today
