TikTok recently announced a new way of how you can help fundraise for your favorite charities. With the interactive feature called Donation Stickers, creators like you can directly raise funds on your TikTok videos and live streams.
How Does the TikTok Donation Stickers Work
TikTok users can add Donation stickers to their videos as part of the social app’s coronavirus relief effort. The company announced an initial list of charities that will receive the donations generated from the stickers.
The Donation Sticker is one of the efforts by the company to support front-line workers and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. TikTok pledges $250 million as a relief fund.
The fundraising platform Tiltify will handle the payment processing of the donations. Donation features are embedded into the live streams so those who want to donate will be directed to their favorite charities.
As of now, the stickers are available in the US, Germany, France, UK, and Italy. It will also become an ongoing and permanent feature in the Tiktok app.

The list of charities that users can support using the TikTok Donation Stickers include:
- CDC Foundation
- James Beard Foundation
- National PTA
- Meals on Wheels
- No Kid Hungry
- National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation
- The Actors Fund
- MusiCares
- British Red Cross
- Help Musicians in the UK.
These charities are currently working to support communities and vulnerable groups that are greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
How to Add TikTok Donation Stickers to your Videos
The stickers will be a new feature on your TikTok app. You can embed them on your videos or livestreams.
- First, open your TikTok app.
- Go to the editing page.
- Tap the COVID-19 Donation Sticker.
- Select the charity you want to help.
- Now, when you create a video, place it on your video.
- Tiktok will automatically add the hashtag, #doubleyourimpact.
- Caption your video and post.
Once the audience taps the sticker, they will be directed to a pop-up window where they can give their donation to your chosen charity without leaving the TikTok app. Donations raised until May 27th will be matched by the company.
