Solution #1 – Check if your Windows 10 PC is in Sleep Mode
- Click the Start button.
- On the Search bar, enter Power and sleep settings.
- On the Power and sleep settings, navigate to the Sleep section.
- Look for On battery power, turn off after.
- Check the minutes set on the option. You can set it to a longer number of minutes or select Never.
- Go to When plugged in, turn off after. Set it to a different time or Never.
Solution #2 – Edit the Additional Power Settings on your Windows 10 PC
- Right-click the Start button.
- Select Power Options.
- Go to your default power plan.
- Click Change plan settings beside it.
- Select Change advanced power settings.
- Go to Processor power management.
- Click the plus sign to expand the menu.
- Under Minimum processor state, set the value to 0.
- Now, go to Hard Disk.
- Select Turn off the hard disk. Set the value to Never.

Solution #3 – Make Sure your Windows 10 PC is not Overheating
The temperature of your computer may be high thus giving it more reason to randomly shutdown and restart. A normal temperature is under 60 degrees C. - Click the Start button.

- Select Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Look for Turn on fast startup. Uncheck the box.

Solution #5 – Perform an SFC Scan
- Click the Start button.
- On the Search box, enter Command Prompt.
- Look for the Command Prompt on the search results and right-click on it.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
- Now, type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth and hit Enter.

- Click the Start button.
