Security is crucial when using your Internet browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge on your Windows 10 PC. When you see the error message, “Your browser is managed by your organization,” it can make you worry, especially if you are not part of any organization.

But, there is nothing to fear as these browsers show the message due to an enabled policy or setting. Take note that this same error may also occur on Google Chrome or Tor browser.

To troubleshoot the error message and fix the issue on your Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox browser, you will need to edit your computer’s Registry keys. But, it is ideal to perform a backup, so you still have your data when something goes wrong while you open your Windows 10 Registry Editor.

  • On your Microsoft Edge browser, enter the following on your address bar: edge://policy.
  • You will see a list of active policies applied to your browser.
  • Now, launch your Registry Editor by typing regedit on your Search bar.
  • Enter this path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge.
  • You will see the Registry value of the active policies. Look for the value that you want to delete. 
  • Delete the DWORD value to disable it.
  • Restart your computer.

  • Check the active policies.
  • Launch your Registry Editor.
  • Go to this path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox.
  • Look for the value of the policy that you want to remove.
  • Delete the DWORD value.
  • Restart your computer.
