More than 500 million Instagram users create and view Stories daily, and they’re a huge draw for the social media platform. For many, Stories are the only reason to even check in on the platform, providing perfectly bite-sized pieces of media that are easy to consume within a short time frame. They’re excellent, and ever since their introduction, they’ve been essential to Instagram.

That’s why it can get frustrating if Instagram Stories won’t load. Most of the time, Instagram Stories load right away. You choose the Stories tab on your mobile app, and they load instantly. There is a slight chance of a delay during peak hours, but most of the time, things run smoothly when you publish a Story for your account feed. If something like this occurs, you’ll need to troubleshoot the error to figure out what’s happening.
