More users are becoming vulnerable to threats on social media. They are being targeted by hackers and threat actors, which can compromise their identity and lock their accounts. To address these privacy issues, Meta is launching a security initiative for enhanced safety and protection on Facebook. You can check out the new Facebook Protect feature.
What is Facebook Protect Security Program
Have you heard of user accounts getting hacked on Facebook? The sound of it can create chills down your spine, what more if you are in such a situation. Facebook Protect adds a layer of security to your account so it mitigates potential threats and malicious attacks. It offers stronger protective means, including two-factor authentication and hacking threats monitoring.
Meta makes sure that groups of users who are likely to be targeted by hacking threats can benefit more from the Facebook Protect program. That is why it is launching gradually to more and more people who may find it useful.
To use the Facebook Protect advanced privacy protection feature, you need to enable the tool first. Unfortunately, not everyone has the chance of eligibility to turn on Facebook Protect. They locked me out first, then asked me to retrieve code from my phone, which they didn’t[t send, or use an authenticator code, which didn’t work. The arrow in the upper right corner won’t take me to settings because I’m locked out. This happened before, and then after a few days I was allowed back on. This whole thing is a colossal fail.
