Are you worried that someone else may be reading your Facebook Messenger chats? It may come as a surprise to you that hackers, service providers, and more may have access to your messages on Messenger, but it happens to many people. Some chat messages go beyond the eyes of the sender and receiver. That is why it is better to keep your messages safe and encrypted to protect your data exchanges.
Facebook, now under a company called Meta, is giving its users another feature that will add an extra layer of security on their Messenger app. The social media giant released end-to-end encryption on its chat feature, so no one else may have access to messages shared on Facebook Messenger except for the sender and receiver.
E2EE will be available on direct messages, group calls, and group chats. Even when you enter an encrypted chat, you can still use the same tools and features as before. Users can still read and send stickers and GIFs. You can give reactions and forward messages.
