Video conferences have been a huge convenience to most organizations but not all have the tools and places for it. While you can host a video meeting online, having two or more of your team in close proximity can cause audio feedback.

Good thing Google acknowledges such a dilemma and launches the adaptive audio feature on Google Meet. With this new audio function, awkward echoes and feedback within multiple laptops close to each other will be eliminated. In other words, you can have your video conference meeting anywhere without worrying about audio feedback.

Think of it as an audio detection, where it senses multiple laptops in the same room in the same Google Meet meeting. When it automatically detects these devices, it will synchronize the speakers and microphones so it does not create any feedback or annoying interruptions.

If this works on your laptops, you can easily use your individual devices during a meeting in the same place but having a more seamless and minimal to none audio distraction. Google Meet’s adaptive audio feature creates an ad-hoc meeting space for everyone.

The Adaptive Audio function is set to On by default. Google Meet will detect if multiple participants are part of the meeting in the same room, and it activates the audio feature.

However, to manage it, you can easily go to the Settings menu of Google Meet. Navigate to Audio and head over to Adaptive Audio.

Google Meet’s Adaptive Audio is available for users of Gemini Business, Gemini Education, Gemini Education Premium, Gemini Enterprise, and the AI Meetings and Messaging add-on.

Wrapping Up

Make your Google Meet video conferences more efficient with added features such as the Adaptive Audio function. Even if you need to host the meeting in cafes or lounges, it will work its magic to create a more conducive environment for everyone.
