Want to maximize your screen during Google Meet video meetings? Now, Google Meet allows you to hide non-video tiles! This new feature enables users to customize how their screen will appear during every meeting but without affecting other participants’ view.
Google is rolling out a new update for Google Meet users, which includes the “Hide tiles without video” call option. When enabled, the Hide tiles function will automatically hide tiles of participants without any video on in the meeting.

This means that you will be able to de-clutter the look of your screen and only see participants with video enabled. However, when the person starts to speak, the tile will again appear on the screen even with the videos still off.
The great thing about the new feature is it does not affect the view or layout of other participants even if you hide non-video tiles. So, only you can experience the customization on your screen.
How to enable Hide Tiles with No Video? Just access the Settings menu. Go to Change layout and check the box next to ‘Hide tiles without video.’
The new update on Google Meet is available to all users with Google accounts and Google Workspace clients.
