Let’s picture a scenario where you are working on your laptop in a nice coffee shop. You made a Google Meet call, but time is running and you have to go back to the office. But, how to move without interrupting your call meeting?

Google Meet enables you to switch your call from your laptop to your mobile phone in seconds, so no time is wasted on your part. Each time you join a Google Meet meeting on your computer or mobile device, you will see the ‘Switch here’ button on the screen.

  • To transfer your call, go to your second device and launch Google Meet.
  • Login to the same account.
  • Go to the same meeting you are in.
  • Click or tap the Switch here button.

Once done, the notification “Call switched to another device” will appear on your original device and automatically disconnect you.

Don’t want to disconnect from the original device? Instead of clicking the Switch Here button, click “Other joining options.” Then, click “Join here too.” You will automatically connect to both devices.

Google users will enjoy the new switching feature across various devices, including Android, iOS, and Windows PC. It is available for free to all business and personal Google accounts as well as Google Workspace customers.
