How to Troubleshoot & Fix Overwatch 2 Feeling Weird or Off, Wobbly or Floaty Aim on Windows PC

  • The first is to head into your settings.
  • Then, pick the video tab.
  • Now, turn off the ‘Dynamic Render Scale’ option.
  • For most players, this is the setting that’s causing most of the issues, though there are other things we can do to alleviate it further.

If you’re using an Nvidia GPU, you can turn on Nvidia Reflex also in the video tab.

  • Head over to the controls tab and open up the advanced controller settings.
  • Disable ‘Aim Smoothing’, since this feature is currently bugged.
  • Next, go to the gameplay tab and turn on ‘High Precision Mouse Input’.
  • Then finally, go to the accessibility tab to reduce ‘Camera Shake’ and turn off ‘HUD Shake.’

Common Fixes For Overwatch 2 Floaty Aim Issue when Playing on a Gaming Console

Console gamers are also in a similar boat to PC players. One of the main reasons for floatier aim is joining PC lobbies, since those turn off your console’s aim assist and forces hard manual aiming. Outside of that though, there are also some gaming console settings we can change here and there.

  • First, go to the video tab and set your preferred mode to ‘Framerate’.
  • Then, swap over to the accessibility tab.
  • And, just like with the PC, reduce the ‘Camera Shake’ and turn ‘HUD Shake’ off completely.

Now, you should find everything working fine! We hope this guide helped you fix your floaty aim, and stay tuned for more tips, fixes, and hints!
