Make sure that the cables are not loose or damaged. Check your monitor and see if there are any signs of problems. You can try to unplug and replug the cables on your monitor. Another way is to try to plug your monitor cables into a different port.

Solution #2 – Test your Task Manager

One of the ways to figure out what causes the error is to check the task manager. Open the Task Manager on your Windows 11 PC by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete. If the Task Manager is flickering, the issue may be with your display driver. If not, it can be due to an incompatible app.

  • Open the Settings menu.
  • Select System.
  • Choose Display.
  • Scroll down to Advanced Display.
  • Look for the option Choose a refresh rate.
  • Change the refresh rate through the box next to it.

Solution #6 – Reinstall your Display Driver

  • Open the Device Manager.
  • Go to Display Adapters.
  • Right-click your adapter.
  • Select Properties.
  • Check the box next to Delete the driver software for this device.
  • Click OK.
  • Restart your PC.

Solution #7 – Uninstall the Problematic App

If you know what app may be causing the error, you can uninstall it.

  • Launch the Settings menu of your Windows 11 PC.
  • Go to Apps.
  • Select Apps & features.
  • Look for the app that you want to uninstall.
