Great news to all Gemini (formerly Bard) users! Google Home Gemini extension is now fully stable and available on the app!
From months of preview and gradual introduction to users, Google is launching the Gemini extension in full blast in the coming weeks. That means more access and control over your smart home devices.

With the integration, you can take advantage of AI features to connect to Google Home, giving you more streamline functions in managing your smart devices. Some of the functions you can do is control your lights and power from your lock screen even without unlocking your phone. You may also adjust entertainment devices, climate controls and even window coverings. Google Home also offers a more natural process by allowing more complex commands, just like talking to a real person.Â
However, other sensitive controls such as lock features are only available on the Google Home app. Still don’t fret! Gemini will automatically redirect you to the Google Home app for these actions, so navigation between apps remains seamless.Â
How to Turn On and Get the Google Home Gemini Extension Feature on your Device

It takes only a few steps to enable the extension on your Gemini app. Just go to your Gemini app and tap your profile avatar. Head over to Extensions and look for Device Control. When you see @Google Home, toggle the button to enable it. Now, make sure to Connect to Google Home.
