A minimalist and clean-looking computer screen can have a positive effect on our mind. At the same time, seeing lots of apps and tools on a single screen causes cluttered thoughts and can even be stressful and distracting.
That is one reason why many users prefer to clean up apps and icons that are not useful on their screen. If you think that the notification bell icon by the clock on your Windows 11 taskbar is not at all helpful, now you can remove it.
Microsoft recently released the build 22635.3930 where Windows 11 users have the option to remove the notification bell icon from the taskbar. Prior to the said build, it was not possible before. So, each time you hover your mouse over to the icon, you will see pending unseen notifications. It is also a shortcut to the Notification Center.
Removing or Hiding Windows 11 Notification Bell Icon from the Taskbar
Here are the easy steps to remove the bell icon from the taskbar. First, launch the Settings menu of your Windows 11 PC. Then, head over to System found in the left pane. Go to the right side and select Notifications. Again, click Notifications to expand the options. Look for the Show notifications bell icon and turn it off.
Take note that if you cannot find the option to remove the notification bell icon, you may need to update your Windows 11 PC. Navigate to the Settings menu and head over to Update & Security. Select Windows Update and click Check for updates.

Once you remove the bell icon, you can still access the Notifications Center through the date or clock option or simply pressing the Windows key + N.
