There’s a new bug that has been bugging a lot of Windows 11 PC users, as well as Windows 10. A notification keeps on appearing on their devices saying that their time zone has changed when, in fact, it hasn’t been lately. They keep on receiving this error message:  “Due to a location change, a new time zone has been detected.”

When it prompts, the user has two options, either to Accept it or simply Ignore the message. Accepting will direct users to the Date & Time settings while Ignoring it will only remove the prompt. It may sound simple and not a big deal, but the problem starts when such notification continues to appear repeatedly. Who doesn’t get annoyed by that?

So, how to remedy the Changed in Location error prompt on Windows 11 computer? Sadly, there is nothing you can do about it. Even if you try to change something from the Date & Time settings, the error keeps on appearing.

Fortunately, Microsoft is trying to release a fix that will help resolve the issue. All we have to do is wait for their solution to workaround the bug.

For the meantime, you might want to try these changes below.

Turn Off Setting Time Zone Automatically

Head over to the Settings menu and go to Date & Time. Navigate to the Time Zone option and look for Set time zone automatically. Try to disable it.

Turn Off Location Services

On your Windows Settings, go to Privacy. Select Location and look for the Use location services for these devices section. Look for Location Services and toggle it to Off.

Wrapping Up

It may take a while but the great news is the possible fix in the near future. For now, all you can do is to hit Ignore when the prompts appear.
