Blizzard Entertainment runs Battle.net, a service released on the 20th of March 2009 that gives users the chance to play with their fellow gamers online. Some of the top games that use the service include Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Destiny, Diablo II and III, Overwatch 2, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft.

But despite being such an exciting service, many users don’t like the fact that they encounter errors such as BLZBNTBGS0000020A, BLZBNTBGS0000020 or BLZBNTBNA00000A8D on Battle.net.

Just so you know, these two error codes indicate a problem with the connection between you and the server. However, there are also instances when the error is a bug or glitch with the login function, which means that it doesn’t have anything to do with the connection.

Here are some of the fixes you can try the next time you encounter any of these two login authentication error codes:

Go Offline and Open a Specific Game

One of the first solutions you can try is to try taking things offline. Wait until the error code shows up, and then choose the option Continue Offline. Open the particular game that you love to play, such as Hearthstone or Overwatch 2.

Use your account for Battle.net to log into the game when you’re prompted. Close Battle.net, open it again, and then just log in as you normally do.

Every time you get any of these error codes, you have two choices: you can continue offline or just retry.

If you choose Retry, you cannot log in and the same error code will just continue to pop up. But if you choose to Continue Offline, on the other hand, this will give you access to the Battle.net app and then launch your game there.

When you launch a game in offline mode, you will be prompted to use your Battle.net account to log in. After logging in, the game will launch in online mode. Hopefully, this will also fix the problem and get rid of the error code you’re getting.

Switch to a Different Region

Changing regions may seem silly but yes, this is one of the easiest and fastest ways to fix most issues with Battle.net, including error codes such as BLZBNTBNA00000A8D and BLZBNTBGS0000020A.

For instance, if Asia is your current region, you can try to change it to the Americas and then wait for several seconds. Once a few seconds are up, the social icons and login buttons should show up. But before launching any game, see to it that you change it back to the original region first.

To do this, choose the gear icon on the loading screen of Battle.net. Under Login Region, change your current region and then wait for several seconds. Try logging back in again to your account on Battle.net.

Wrapping It Up

With everything going on with your games on Battle.net, the last thing you want is to deal with annoying error codes like BLZBNTBGS0000020A and BLZBNTBNA00000A8D. If you ever see any of these two glitches, make sure you try the solutions above to wipe them off and continue with your game right away.
