If you’ve been getting the same problem, there are a few possible fixes for Microsoft Teams that you might want to explore.

Restart Your PC

The first step is a simple and basic step that many users have discovered to work for them. If you haven’t tried it yet, start by rebooting your PC.

Sometimes, even something as simple as a restart is enough to fix most issues, including the occurrence of error codes like caa30190 and caa90019.

Clear Microsoft Teams App Cache

You probably don’t realize it but the cache folder of Microsoft Teams might already be foiled with temporary files that interfere with its function. To ensure that this interference doesn’t happen, try clearing the cache first and check if this fixes the Microsoft Teams issue.

You can clear the cache by going to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams. Continue by deleting the existing files in the following folders:

  • %AppData%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage
  • %AppData%\Microsoft\teams\application cache\cache
  • %AppData%\Microsoft\teams\cache
  • %AppData%\Microsoft\teams\databases
  • %AppData%\Microsoft\teams\Indexeddb
  • %AppData%\Microsoft\teams\gpucache
  • %AppData%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage

You should also clear your browser cache if you’re using the web version of Microsoft Teams.

Close Microsoft Teams App

If you haven’t done so yet, try closing Microsoft Teams first and restart it afterward. For all you know, the app’s memory might have already run out or a restart might be needed to clear out the temporary files.

A simple reminder, though. Sometimes, the close button is simply not enough since most apps continue to run in the background and the system tray. To ensure that the app is closed properly and completely, consider using the task manager instead.

Clear Microsoft Teams’ Credential Manager

Clearing the credential manager of Microsoft Teams might also help fix the problem for you and eliminate the annoying error codes.

  • You can do this by going to the Windows Search bar.
  • Type in Credential Manager and open the tool.
  • Click Windows Credentials and look for the credentials of Microsoft Teams.
  • Choose these credentials and click the Remove button.
  • Open Microsoft Teams once again to check if the error code is gone.

Uninstall and Reinstall Microsoft Teams App

If you want to be extra sure, one thing you can do is to uninstall Microsoft Teams first to delete all its data from your device. Install the app once again so that you will get a fresh start that will hopefully no longer include error codes like caa30190 and caa90019.

Restart Your Router and Modem

Some errors often occur because of underlying issues concerning network connectivity. To rule out this possible cause, you can also try to reboot both your modem and router to confirm if this will eliminate the error codes.

Don’t let error codes caa30190 or caa90019 stop you from making the most out of Microsoft Teams. Follow the above tips and continue enjoying seamless communication with your entire organization.
