Since their release, the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro mobile devices have been riddled with issues, much more than competitor flagship phones from other brands like Samsung. These Pixel phone series bugs include stuttering or lagging problems, microphone and speaker input and output issues, fingerprint reader errors, and much more.

However, one of the most annoying glitches is when your Google Pixel 6 or 6 Pro phone is constantly dropping cellular service and keeps losing its mobile network signal. This mobile network service issue has increasingly been reported by users of the particular smartphone model.

How to Fix Google Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro Device Keeps Dropping Mobile Network Service & Constantly Losing Cellular Signal Glitch

If you are one of those users who are experiencing intermittent mobile network connectivity, and your phone isn’t recognizing your SIM, then the following guide will suggest ways to troubleshoot and eventually fix this issue.

Method #1 – Manually Refresh your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro Connection to Mobile Network

One of the main factors for this cellular signal problem with Google Pixel 6 or 6 Pro is when your phone cannot connect to the carrier’s network – even though it may be in an area with good reception. To manually refresh your phone’s connection, do the following:

  1. Swipe from the top of the screen down to pull down the notification panel.
  2. Click the Airplane mode button to enable Airplane mode.
  3. This will disable your connection to your mobile network.
  4. Turn it back on after a brief pause.

This will manually reset your phone’s connection and can often solve the issue.

Method #2 – Perform a Soft Reset of your Google Smartphone

Often, minor errors and issues of your smartphone can be resolved by simply turning the mobile device off and on – also known as a soft reset. This is because it clears the RAM when the device is turned back on, which is where the problem sometimes can be.

Make sure you properly power off the device by doing the following to perform a soft reset on your Google Pixel 6 or 6 Pro phone:

  1. Hold down the Power button for a few seconds.
  2. When the menu appears, select the Power off option.
  3. After a brief pause, turn the smartphone back on by pressing the power key again.

Method #3 – Make Sure your Device is Updated to the Latest Software Version

One potential cause for your device not being able to have a stable connection to its network is due to a bug in the current operating system that your phone is using. As a result, you most likely are not the only person experiencing the issue, and so chances are someone else has had the same error at some point. Therefore, it is a good idea to manually make sure your Google Pixel is up to date with the latest bug fixes.

To manually update your Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro:

  1. Navigate to the Settings application on your Google Pixel device.
  2. Once in Settings, navigate to System, and then to System Update > Check for Update.
  3. If an update is available, follow the onscreen instructions to install it. However, if it is not, try one of the other potential solutions in this guide.

That’s it! We hope you’ve found a way to troubleshoot and fix the cellular connection problem with Google Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro devices. If you have anything to say, don’t forget to use the comments section below.
