#1 – Try to Unplug Other External Hardware to your Computer

#2 – Perform an Offline Scan on Windows Defender

Open the Settings menu and launch Update & Security. Select Windows Security and choose Virus & threat protection. Click the Scan options button. Select Microsoft Defender Offline Scan. Click the Scan Now button.

#3 – Do a Device Performance and Health Scan

On your Windows Settings, go to Update & Security. Select Windows Security. Click Device performance & health. Your computer will start scanning and will show you a health report. It will help you figure out which part of your device is not performing well.

#4 – Disable Fast Startup

Head over to Power Options by pressing Windows key + X. On the right side, click Additional power settings. Select Choose what the power buttons do. Next, click Change settings that are currently unavailable. Look for the Turn on fast startup option and uncheck the box next to it. Click the Save changes button. Restart your computer.

#5 – Update your Drivers

Launch the Search box and enter Device Manager. Click Device Manager from the results. Look for your device driver and right-click on it. Click Update Driver. Click Check for updates and wait for your device to finish the process.

#6 – Perform a System Restore

On the Search box, enter System Restore and open the System Restore window. Go to System Protection and click System Restore. Select a restore point and click Next. Click Finish.
