Epic Games launched a mobile version of Fortnite recently. Formerly, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X or S players, Microsoft requires you to have an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership to play free-to-play games like Fortnite. The Xbox Live Gold is the only platform where you can pay for the service to play the game. However, Microsoft retracted that decision as well as the planned price hike for Xbox Live Gold subscription. Now, you do not need an active subscription to play Fortnite on Xbox consoles.

Make sure that you have a reliable controller and your system has enough space to install the game. And, connect your console to a reliable Internet connection.
