Picture-in-picture mode or PiP is a trend that many users find helpful when watching online videos. It is ideal for those who love to multitask or need to work while a video is playing or streaming in the background. You do not need to install a second monitor just to accommodate two activities at the same time. With PiP, you can do your work and watch videos together.

Opera browser launched a new version called Opera 83, and with it came the picture-in-picture mode feature or the Automatic Video Pop-Out. It automatically switches the video to a PiP mode when you use video conferencing services or watch videos on YouTube or other streaming platforms. That way, you can always take notes while attending an online call or continue with your work while a movie plays on your computer screen.

The Automatic Video Pop-Out works by allowing you to pop out the video from its normal location to a compact view anywhere on your screen. You have the option to move it around and give you flexibility in working on your current page. Playback controls are also available, which allows you to pause or play the video, control the volume, or close it.

But, some users do not find the Automatic Video Pop-Out useful when using their Opera web browser app. It also annoys others who accidentally click the button and the video pops out without them wanting it. If this happens to you, it is easy to remove or disable the Automatic Video Pop-Out feature on your Opera browser for Windows PC, and Mac or Linux computers.
