Users have reported a crash issue with their Microsoft Edge browser every time they try to delete a favorite or a bookmark. Whether or not the said deletion happened on the favorites list or favorites management, Edge browser will crash.
According to users who reported the problem, the deleted favorites still appear on the list after restarting and restoring the browser.

Microsoft has taken note of the error and recently released a solution that will fix the bookmark bug. All you have to do is update your Microsoft Edge browser to version 126.0.2592.87 released last July 2, 2024. Aside from fixing various bugs and performance issues, the new update “Fixed a browser crash that occurred when an on-premises sync user deleted a Favorite.”

To install the latest version on your Edge browser, head over to the Settings menu and go to Help and feedback. Select About Microsoft Edge. A shortcut would be edge://settings/help.
