Accessing your favorite websites is fast and easy, thanks to the Bookmarks Toolbar in browsers. You can create saved shortcuts of websites on your browser, including the title and URL. When you click on your bookmark, it directly opens to the specific page, saving you time and effort.
Bookmarks are handy. But, if you see added buttons for your bookmarks on the toolbar, it becomes annoying. The same situation is happening for Firefox users. If you are using the Mozilla Firefox browser, you will notice the “Other Bookmarks” button on the upper-right side of the toolbar along with your regular bookmarks.

While it seems harmless, it becomes a distraction when you already have many bookmarks on your browser toolbar. It reduces the size of your bookmark toolbar. That means not all of your bookmarks can fit in there.
The function of the Other Bookmarks folder is to literally show the other bookmarks you have made in Firefox. Sad to say, it does not offer any use at all. If users want to access their bookmarks, they can go to their bookmarks toolbar and click a button.
Many users attempted to remove the Other Bookmarks button but to no luck. Unfortunately, Firefox did not provide the removal function on the button.
Is There a Way to Delete Other Bookmarks Button from Firefox Toolbar?
The new Other Bookmarks button appears on the browser without some users knowing it. It was bundled in the recent version update of the browser. Fortunately, there are two ways to deal with the Other Bookmarks button.
Solution #1 – Wait for the Firefox 85 Update
A new Firefox 85 version will be released on January 26, 2021. According to reports, Mozilla will include an option to remove the Other Bookmarks toolbar folder.
Solution #2 – Configure the Toolbar Settings

If you don’t want to wait for the official update to delete the Other Bookmarks toolbar folder, there is another way. You can configure the toolbar settings on your Firefox browser as a workaround.
- On the address bar, type about:config.
- Click “Accept the Risk and Continue” button to proceed.
- On the search bar, enter browser.toolbars.bookmarks.2h2020.
- Click the menu option on the right of the search result and select False.
- Now, restart your Firefox browser.
- Check if the button is still there.
