Amazon Alexa is available to you 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It certainly feels like having a reliable personal assistant to help you get through with the things you do. But, what if you have to talk to Alexa in the middle of the night and you do not want everybody in the house waking up from your loud voice?

If you want Alexa to speak quietly, now you can! Amazon recently launched a new feature that will help you speak properly to Alexa during quiet hours. Just turn on the Alexa Whisper Mode and you can speak quietly without causing a stir.

The Alexa Whisper Mode or Alexa Whispered Responses allows you to whisper to Alexa and it will whisper back in response. So, instead of the typical voice of Alexa, you will hear a toned-down voice that only you can hear.

How to Use Whisper Mode on Alexa

First, you have to turn on the Alexa Whisper Mode feature in your Amazon device. Once enabled, all you have to do is to whisper any command to Alexa and it will whisper back in return. But, you have to keep your whispered tone consistent when you say a command. Otherwise, Alexa will go back to its normal tone when you do, if you have the Follow Up Mode on.

How to Turn On Alexa Whisper Mode on your Amazon Speaker Device

#1 – Tell Alexa to turn on Whisper Mode

Tell your Echo smart speaker the command, “Alexa, turn on whisper mode.” Alexa will follow and confirm. To disable the feature, just say, “Alexa, turn off whisper mode.” and it will disable the feature.
