However, there can be other reasons your Apple Watch gets stuck on the Apple logo screen. There may be an issue with the firmware or device software of your Apple Watch. Your device storage may also cause a problem with your smartwatch.
How to Unfreeze your Apple Watch Smartwatch
Getting your Apple smartwatch to unfreeze takes a few solutions and troubleshooting steps for you to try. You can check out the methods and workarounds below and see if they can fix your Apple Watch frozen or stuck on the Apple logo issue.
Method #1 – Wait for your Apple Watch
It may not seem like a sound idea, but waiting for a few minutes may allow your device to work out the problem by itself. It is also possible that your Apple Watch is still in its installation process and may have slowed down. You can try to wait a while and check if your smartwatch reboots or not.
Method #2 – Reboot your Apple Watch
- Press and hold the side button on your Apple Watch to show the Power off option.
- Drag the Power Off slider to turn off your smartwatch.
- Wait for a few seconds.
- Power on your Apple Watch.
Method #3 – Try to Force an Action on your Apple Watch
- Using your Bluetooth connection on your iPhone, connect your Apple Watch.
- Once connected, launch the Watch app.
- Navigate to the My Watch tab.
- Select your Apple Watch.
- Tap the i button.
- Select Find My Apple Watch.
- Log in to your Apple account.
- Select your Apple Watch.
- Choose Actions.
- Tap Play Sound to see if your Apple Watch restarts. You can continue pressing the Play Sound option to check if your Apple Watch responds.
Method #4 – Remove the Software Update Files
- Launch the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Navigate to My Watch.
- Head over to General.
- Select Storage.
- Tap Software Update.
- Now, delete the software update file.
- Reinstall the software update.
Method #5 – Force Restart your Apple Watch
Note that you should not perform a force restart if installing an update on your Apple Watch. Doing so could brick your device.
- Locate the Digital Crown and Side button on your Apple Watch.
- Press and hold both buttons for 30 seconds.
- Release the button to turn on your Apple Watch.
- If it does not reboot, try pressing and holding the buttons again. You can try the process up to 5 times.
- If it does not work, recharge your Apple Watch for 30 minutes and continue repeating the process.
Method #6 – Factory Reset your Apple Watch
When you factory reset your Apple Watch, it will erase all the settings and files stored and revert it to its factory default settings.
- Open the Watch app.
- Go to My Watch.
- Select General.
- Choose Reset.
- Tap Erase Apple Watch Content and Settings.
- Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
- Now, set up your Apple Watch again.
