Overview of the ‘Account Error’ Issue on Facebook Ads Manager

The ‘Account Error’ issue that shows up on the Facebook Ads Manager page happens when you have already gone beyond the spending limit for your Facebook ads. This can be either for just one specific ad campaign or it can also be for your Facebook ads account in general.

Remove Account Spending Limit to Fix Facebook Ads Manager Account Error

By far, the best and easiest solution for this problem is to fill up a Support ticket that will allow the platform to eliminate your ad spend limit.

You also have the option to remove the ad spend limit on your own. The good news is that the process is quite easy and simple. All you have to do is log in from the account set as the administrator of your ads on Facebook. After that, just follow the steps below:

  1. Proceed to the page for Facebook Ads Manager.
  2. Click Payment Settings.
  3. Select Remove found in the section labeled “Set Your Account Spending Limit.”
  4. Choose “Remove Limit.”

The recent change that you made on your account will be active within 15 minutes according to Facebook.

Aside from removing the spending limit on your account, there are other ways or methods you can do to address the problem:

  1. Make sure your account has a backup payment method if the one you’re currently using is out of funds, limited, declined, or expired. You can use the backup for payments of the remaining balance on your Facebook Ads Manager account.
  2. Always remember the expiration dates of your debit or credit card to prevent declines of future charges. See to it that your chosen method of payment is available in the country where you live, isn’t linked to several accounts, and comes with a CVV code.
  3. Reduce your threshold for payment so that it will match the fund limit chargeable to your credit card. Through this, Facebook won’t be charging you more than the transaction limit of your credit card.
  4. Ensure that your card has enough funds. Facebook will charge you every time you reach the payment threshold you set. You will also be charged once more on the date of your monthly bill for any remaining pay due.

The ‘Account Error’ issue on your Facebook Ads Manager account is probably the last thing you’d want to see if you’re running several important ads. Thankfully, the methods stated above can help your ads back on their feet sooner rather than later.
