Troubleshoot & Fix YouTube Google Error 400 Server Connectivity Issue on Android Phone, PC, or Smart TV

The YouTube Google error code 400 may seem vague, but you can still fix it using the different methods below. Try to follow each solution one at a time and see if it resolves the error or not.

Method #1 – Reload the YouTube Video

The first thing you can do is to reload the video and check if it loads up or not. You can also try to refresh the YouTube webpage. If it still does not work, go back to the YouTube homepage and reload the video from there. If you are using the Android app, exit the YouTube app and relaunch it.

Method #2 – Restart your Streaming Device

If reloading and refreshing the YouTube webpage and app does not work, try restarting your Android phone or tablet, Windows computer, or smart TV. You can also power cycle all your devices, including your router and modem. That way, you can refresh your connection.

Method #3 – Log Out and Log In on YouTube

  • On your YouTube app, tap your profile picture.
  • Select your profile name.
  • Go to Manage accounts.
  • Select the account name that you want to remove.
  • Tap Remove.
  • Now, sign back in to YouTube.

Method #4 – Clear Cache and Cookies on YouTube App or Web Browser

How to Clear YouTube App Cache

  • Launch the Settings menu of your Android device or your smart TV.
  • Go to Apps. For some smart TV, you need to go to System apps.
  • Select YouTube.
  • Go to Storage.
  • Tap Clear Data and Clear Cache.

How to Clear YouTube Website Cache on Web Browser

  • To clear your browser’s cache, click the menu icon.
  • Go to More Tools.
  • Select Clear browsing data.
  • Set the Time Range to All Time.
  • Check the boxes next to Cookies, Cache, and Browsing Data.
  • Click Clear Data.
  • Restart your browser.
