#1 – Relaunch your Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Browser
First, try to reload the webpage if it fixes the error. Sometimes, a quick refresh will do the trick. If it does not work, try to exit your browser and wait for a few seconds. Then relaunch Chrome or Edge and reload the website you want to visit.
If it still does not work, restart your computer.
#2 – Check your Computer’s Time and Date Settings
Change Date & Time on Mac
- To access time and date settings on Mac, click the Apple logo in the upper left corner.
- Select System Preferences.
- Go to Data & Time.
- At the bottom left corner, click the Lock icon.
- Enter your admin password.
- Look for Set date and time automatically and check the box next to it.
- Connect to the Internet for your Mac computer to search for the current date and time. If you cannot connect to the Internet, manually set the correct date and time using the calendar and clock.
Change Date & Time on Windows 10 PC
- Click the Start button.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Time & language.
- Click Date and Time.
- Set the current date and time.
#3 – Turn Off your Antivirus
Your antivirus software may be the reason why you see the SSL certificate privacy error. You can temporarily disable your third-party antivirus security app and try to access the webpage.
- To turn off Microsoft Windows Defender, go to the Settings menu.
- Select Update & Security.
- Click Windows Security.
- Select Firewall & network protection.
- Choose your network profile.
- Look for Microsoft Defender Firewall and toggle it to Off.
You can also temporarily disable your VPN server if you are using one. But, if you really need to use a VPN service when browsing through the web, you can try and check out any of these premium providers. Using a reliable VPN server might help you bypass privacy issues like NET ERR CERT REVOKED.
#4 – Reset your Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Browser
- To reset your Microsoft Edge browser, click the three-dotted icon at the top right corner.
- Go to Settings.
- Navigate to Reset Settings.
- Click Restore Settings.
- To reset the Google Chrome browser, click the three vertical lines icon.
- Go to Settings.
- Click Advanced.
- Look for the Reset and clean-up section.

#5 – Flush your DNS Settings
Windows 10/11 PC
- To flush DNS on Windows 10, launch the Command Prompt with administrative rights.
- Type cmd netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt and press Enter.
- Next, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
- Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
- Then, type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
- Lastly, type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
- Reboot your Windows 10 PC.
macOS Computer
- To flush DNS on Mac, launch the Terminal.
- Type sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder and press Enter.
- Type your Mac password and press Enter.
