Method #1 – Restart the IPHLPSVC Process
- Launch the Run Dialog Box on your Windows 10 PC.
- Enter services.msc.
- Look for IP Helper and right-click on it.
- Select Restart.
Method #2 – Reset TCP/IP
- Click the Start button.
- On the Search box, enter Command Prompt.
- Right-click on the Command Prompt result.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Click Yes if you see a prompt message.
- On the Command Prompt, type netsh int ip reset.
- Hit Enter.
Method #3 – Disable the IP Helper Service that Runs the IPHLPSVC Process
Note that you can turn off IPHLPSVC process by disabling the IP Helper service if you are not using it in the Services settings. Otherwise, you can always enable it.
- Go to Windows Search and enter Services.
- Click Services to open a new window.
- Under the Services tab, look for IP Helper and double-click to open it.
- Navigate to the General tab.
- Look for the Startup Type. Click the down arrow.
- Select Disabled.
- Under Service status, click Stop.
- Click the Apply button.
- Click OK.
