Method 1 – Check for Paper Jam

  • Remove the power cord from your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Check your printer carriage for any paper or remains that may be blocking the movement of the carriage. If you are removing a paper, carefully take it our of the feeder so that there is nothing left.
  • Clean the paper feeder from dust.
  • Once done, close the access door.
  • Reconnect your power cord and try your printer again.

Method 2 – Check Your Printer Status

  • Go to Start and select Control Panel.
  • Choose Device Manager.
  • Select Network adapters and click on the network adapter that you want to check.
  • Click Properties.
  • Check if your printer is working properly or not. You may also try to update the driver if there are updates available.

Method 3 – Reset Your Printer

  • Once it is silent and on idle mode, disconnect the power cord from your printer.
  • Next, remove the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds without touching anything on your printer.
  • Then, reconnect your power cord to your printer and reconnect the cord to the power source or wall outlet.
  • Turn the printer on and allow it to go through its warming up process.
  • Once done and your printer is in idle mode again, check if it solves the issue by printing something.
