The Windows update released by Microsoft last April has triggered excitement for a lot of users, as it opened another line of functions to improve their device usage. Microsoft released the KB5036893 update for Windows 11 and 10 users, enabling the “Moment 5” features.
Some of these enhancements from the April 2024 update includes snap layout suggestions, using copilot without signing in, new voice shortcuts, sharing improvements, and Narrator voice options.

Unfortunately, such exhilaration became short-lived with the recent VPN server connection issues on most Windows clients and servers. VPN connections failed after installing the April 2024 security update or the April 2024 non-security preview update, affecting the following versions:
- Windows Client – Windows 10 version 21H2, Windows 10, version 22H2, Windows 11, version 21H2, Windows 11, version 22H2, Windows 11, version 23H2
- Windows Server – Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022
According to Microsoft, they are currently working on a resolution for the bug. There may be no definite time as to when the new update will be released.
