How to Recover or Retrieve Permanently Deleted, Missing, or Disappeared iPhone Notes
There are several ways for you to retrieve your deleted iPhone Notes. You may be able to retrieve permanently delete notes even without a backup. You can try following each of the methods below and check if it works for you.
Retrieve Permanently Deleted Notes without a Backup using the Recently Deleted Folder in iPhone Notes App
- On your iPhone Notes app, tap the Back icon.
- Look for the Folders list.
- Select Recently Deleted and look for your notes.
- Once you find it, tap the Edit button.
- Select the notes that you want to retrieve.
- Tap Move.
- Choose the folder where you want to move it.
Use the Search Option
You may have moved it to another folder. If you cannot find your notes in their folder location, use the Search feature to look for them. Tap the Search bar and enter a word or phrase in the title of your notes. Check All Accounts to show all results.
Check your Email
If you connected your Notes app with an email address, there is a greater chance that you can still find your notes in your email. If you are unsure, you can verify it. On your iPhone, go to the Settings menu. Select Mail and open Accounts.
Open your email and sign in to the email address connected to your Notes app. Look at the Notes option and try to enable it.
Go to your iCloud Account
iCloud offers cloud storage and backup, so your missing notes might still be there. Launch a browser and go to https://www.icloud.com/. Sign in to the Apple ID connected to your Notes app. You can check in the Notes section.
