Reading Time

We all have a favorite book at one point. It may be a temporary liking to the most recent book we finished, or it may be our all-time best choice. No matter the reason is, we want to associate ourselves with it, like recommending it to our friends, buying a second copy to give to someone, or displaying the book where we can see it.

Now, Amazon offers a new way of expressing your love for your favorite books. You can now change and display the eye-catching cover art of the book you are currently reading on your Amazon Kindle lock screen.

Amazon Adds Long-Requested Feature to Show Book Covers on Kindle Lock Screen

The Amazon Kindle is useful when you want to take books and read them away from home. You can purchase and download ebooks on your Kindle device, so you have access to them at any time. When you are not using your device, it goes into sleep mode.

The Show Cover feature works by showcasing the cover of your chosen book on your Amazon Kindle device while it is in sleep or idle mode. Instead of seeing advertisements or the usual generic Kindle lock screen display, you will see a beautiful book cover. This feature has long been requested by users and it is only in this recent firmware update that it has finally come into fruition.

The feature supports displaying covers of the book, magazines, comics, or Manga that you are currently reading.
