A quick restart will refresh it, so try to close Family Link for a few minutes. Open Family Link and check if you still see the error.

2. Update your ChromeOS

Check if your Chromebook is up to date. You can only use Family Link on Chrome OS version 71 or higher. Check your OS to verify. If it is not updated, you will need to install the updated version immediately.

To install the latest Chrome OS, open the Settings menu. Click About ChromeOS and head over to Google ChromeOS. Click Check for updates.

Google set a minimum age requirement for children to use Google’s service. However, with parental supervision, which includes their consent, children below the minimum age requirement can use the services. 

To do so, go to the Settings menu and navigate to Accounts. Head over to Parental Controls and select Set up. Follow the instructions and check your child’s email to give consent.

On Family Link, go to your child’s profile and head over to Controls. Select Account Settings and choose Account supervision. Click the terms and tap Stop Supervision. Confirm the action. Now, you can try to set up the supervision again.
