How to Clear Browsing History, Cache on Amazon Kindle Fire

Amazon Kindle Fire tablet offers more features than your regular Kindle device. Aside from downloading and storing ebooks, you can also browse the web using the Silk browser. It enables you to do more on your tablet, giving you access to more information.

Just like any browser, the Silk browser also stores cookies, cache and your browsing history.

If you don’t want to keep these cookies or let anyone see what you have been browsing and searching in the past, you can clear your browsing history on your Amazon Kindle Fire tablet.

How to Delete Browsing History on Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet

  • Go to your Fire tablet Settings.
  • Click Apps & Games.
  • Choose Amazon Application Settings.
  • Select Silk Browser and then go to Privacy.
  • Click Clear browsing data.
  • Select the time period that you want, or you can click All Time to delete all your browsing data.
  • When done, click Clear Data.

You can also clear your browsing history through your Silk browser:

  • Open your browser and go to the Menu button.
  • Navigate to Settings and go to Privacy.
  • Click Clear browsing data.
  • You can choose the period that you want to delete.
  • Check All Time if you want to delete all your browsing history.
  • Now, click Clear data.

How to Remove a Single Website from your Amazon Kindle Fire Browsing History

If you only have one website in mind to delete from your Amazon Kindle Fire tablet, there is another process that you need to do.

  • Navigate to your Silk browser.
  • Now, open the Menu option or the three-lined icon.
  • Go to History by clicking the clock icon.
  • Click the Search History box.
  • Type the name of the website you want to delete.
  • On the search result, click the X sign next to the website to remove it.
