You can also carry out a factory reset using the Reset button on your Arlo Video Doorbell if it is offline by following these steps:

  1. Look for the release pin that’s included in the package of your Arlo Video Doorbell. If you have no idea where the pin is or you can’t be bothered to find it, you can always use a paper clip or any other similar item.
  2. Find the Reset button at the back part of your Arlo Video Doorbell.
  3. Press and hold the button for around 15 seconds.
  4. The LED ring surrounding the doorbell button located on the front of your device will flash white once the reset process successfully starts.

How to Fix Arlo Video Doorbell That Doesn’t Reset

Unfortunately, there are times when your Arlo Video Doorbell might not reset no matter what you do. Most customers have reported that they weren’t able to reset their devices following a failed firmware update.

It’s the reason why before you start any firmware update, see to it that there is enough power in your doorbell and that you have a stable WiFi connection.

Ensure that the battery has been charged to 100% before you reset your doorbell. Remove the battery or turn off the power for 15 seconds before switching it back on.

Ensure that your doorbell is in an ideal spot, and that is close enough to your WiFi hub or router with a strong connection. A weak or poor network connection will make it impossible for your doorbell to connect to your account, preventing it from resetting properly.

A factory reset is sometimes necessary so you can continue using your Arlo Video Doorbell and harness the power of its benefits. Whether you perform an offline or online factory reset, be sure to follow the simple steps above to prevent further issues.
