2 Ways to Find your AirPods’ Serial Number

It’s always a good practice to keep a copy of your Apple device’s serial numbers. There are several instances that you would need the serial number for your AirPods or AirPods Pro wireless earbuds such as registering your product with your Apple ID. By doing so, it will help you locate your device using Find My iPhone easily.

Having your serial number at hand will also help you replace your broken or lost Airpods.

So, how do you find the serial number on an AirPods?

Fortunately, unlike any other Apple device like iPhones or Apple Watches where Apple have removed the serial numbers for good from the physical device, AirPods Pro still have their serial numbers printed inside its charging cases. Follow these steps to find it.

  • Open the lid of your AirPods charging case by flipping it.
  • The serial number is located inside, on the lid where the left AirPod is

If the serial number is too small to read or maybe it has already faded, proceed to the next method to find your Airpods’ serial number.

Sometimes, the written serial number on the inside of the charging case can be hard to recognize. If this is the case for you, you can also easily get hold of your serial number from the Settings app of your iPhone or iPad device. Here’s how to do it.

  • Connect your AirPods to your iPhone or iPad device. (Your AirPods needs to have power and a Bluetooth connection).
  • On your iPhone or iPad device, open the Settings app.
  • Then, go to General > About.
  • At the bottom of the screen, tap on AirPods.

Note: If you don’t see this setting, please make sure that your AirPods are connected properly through Bluetooth.

That’s it! You can now manually write down your Airpods’ serial number. Unfortunately, doing a long-press to copy your serial number is not allowed.
