How to Troubleshoot & Repair Amazon Prime Video Error Code 1061, 9912, or 1004-LD Problems with Network Connection

There are varying reasons for each of the network connection error code 1061, 9912, or 1004 LD. However, as you may have guessed, all of them point out an issue with your WiFi Internet network connection. Please take note though that network problems like these can easily be gone in a matter of minutes as they tend to be intermittent and barely temporary.

To help you fix and resolve any of these connectivity problems with a particular error message on the Prime Video app or website, you can try following each of the solutions below.

Solution #1 – Force Close your Amazon Prime Video App

  • Go to the Settings menu.
  • Select Applications.
  • Click Manage Installed Applications.
  • Look for Amazon Prime Video.
  • Now, force close the app.

Solution #2 – Power Cycle your Streaming Device & Router

  • Turn off your Fire TV Stick and unplug your router and modem.
  • Wait for at least 1 minute before plugging them both back in.
  • Turn on your Fire TV Stick and relaunch Amazon Prime Video.

Solution #3 – Verify your WiFi Internet Network Connection Speed

Perform a speed test to see if you have a strong WiFi Internet network signal. To stream on Amazon Prime Video, you need at least 5Mbps for HD content. If you have a poor WiFi Internet network, you can improve your signal by elevating your router. Remove anything that may block the Internet signal pathway to your device. If you are using mobile data to connect and watch Prime Video content, try moving to an area where you get a strong signal of your provider’s network.

If applicable, try to transfer your router near your smart TV or move close by your router if you are using a mobile device. You may also bypass your router and connect directly to your modem.

Solution #4 – Clear App Data on your Amazon Prime Video

  • On your Amazon Prime Video app, navigate to the Settings menu.
  • Select Application Manager.
  • Look for the Prime Video option.
  • Choose Storage.
  • Click Clear Data.
  • Tap OK.
  • If you are streaming using your Android device, go to Settings.
  • Select Apps.
  • Tap Amazon Prime Video.
  • Go to Storage.
  • Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Solution #5 – Reinstall the Amazon Prime Video App on your Device or Contact Amazon Support

If you continue to experience errors on your Amazon Prime Video app, you can uninstall it and reinstall a new version of the app. However, if nothing from the methods above helps, you can try to contact the Amazon customer support team to relay your issue. It might be an account-specific problem that only they can fix. You can start from here.
