How to Get Access & Stream Discovery+ on Amazon Prime Video Channels
Unfortunately, you will need to subscribe to the ad-free version of Discovery+ when you want the streaming service to be available on your Amazon Prime Video Channels. The Discovery Plus ad-supported version is still to come to the platform in the next few months.Â
If you still want to add Discovery Plus as your Amazon Prime Video Channel, follow the steps below.
- Click here to go to the Discovery+ page on Prime Video Channels.
- Sign in to your Amazon Prime Video account.
- If you are not directed to the official channel page, search for Discovery Plus among the list of channels.
- Still, if you cannot see Discovery+, click See More.
- Select Discovery Plus.
- Now, click either the Sign-up or the Start your free trial button.
- Enter your password.
- Review your information.
- Click either Start your free trial or Start Watching Now.Â
When you subscribe to Discovery Plus ad-free version, you will pay the fee of $6.99 per month once your free trial ends. The ad-supported version is at $4.99 per month. However, you can also cancel your subscription at any time.

I subscribed to Discovery + awhile ago, would love to add it to my Prime channels BUT on Prime my viewing would be subject to Amazon’s idiotic and annoying “are you still watching” BS that interrupts my feed. Quite frankly, its none of your business if I have the TV on and if I’m watching, sleeping or just want background noise. Even Netflix cut that stupidity out.
Why isn’t all content available via Amazon Prime? For example, Ghost Brothers Lights Out, if that helps. If I am paying 6.99, I want the entire offering.
I am finding the same issue. I want to watch a show through prime, but it’s telling me I need to open the app and sign in or pay for the show. I’m confused.
There does not seem to be a benefit to being a prime member. You can still purchase discovery plus without a prime membership for the same price. Unless I am missing something.
I can’t seem to find a show if I have already watched…Amazon gives me the purchase option rather than take me to discovery. Excited to have access but tired of Amazon wanting to charge me for what I have already purchased.
I subscribed to the Discovery Plus@ 6.99 per month version, well worth it. I see it is available on my Amazon prime menu, but there isn’t a way to just sign in. It wants me to purchase it again, which is pretty lame. So, the work around is pull it up on the phone and use screen mirroring, so it is a drag. Frustrating!
We chose discovery plus at 499 and can access it on our TV but when we pick the show we want to watch it states, this device doesn’t support a subscription to discovery plus subscribers can watch this title by using another device.
What is going on what are we missing? It is so frustrating!

I pay 4.99 a month via Google Play or my Vodafone pay as you go balance.. With Google Play I just buy the vouchers and pay for it so I have two ways to pay for it and I can watch it on any device without having to use prime….
Anybody else sick to death of having to purchase programs or films when we are already paying either £75 a year or £ 7.99 a month as it is the so called latest or recently added also seems to be old B rate films or tv programs that should be free , for eg monster quest i can see series 1 and 2 pos 3 but series 4 i have to watch on a totally different channel which i have to subscribe to ,why the hell should i have to pay for it when its part of the series !!!!
