Method #1 – Run the EXE File

  • Launch the File Explorer.
  • Go to these locations and locate the EXE file:
    • C:\AMD
    • C:\Program Files\AMD
    • C:\Program Files (86)\AMD
  • Run the file when you see it.

Method #2 – End Task All Processes Under AMD Catalyst Control Center App

  • Open the Task Manager.
  • Look for a process with the AMD Catalyst Control Center and highlight it.
  • Click the End Task button.
  • Do the same to all processes with the AMD Catalyst Control Center.

Method #3 – Perform an SFC Scan

  • Launch the Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
  • Enter the following command: sfc /scannow.
  • Allow the necessary repairs.
  • Once the scan and repairs are done, restart your computer.

Method #4 – Update your AMD Graphics Driver

  • Open the Settings menu.
  • Go to the Control Panel.
  • Select Hardware and Sound.
  • Click Device Manager.
  • Look for the Display Adapters and click the drop-down arrow to expand the menu.
  • Look for the AMD chip and right-click on it.
  • Select Update Driver.
  • Install available drivers.
  • Restart your computer.

Method #5 – Install Available Windows Update

  • Launch the Settings menu.
  • Go to Update & Security.
  • Click Windows Update.
  • Select Check for updates.
  • Install available updates.
  • Restart your computer.

Method #6 – Uninstall & Reinstall a New Version of AMD Catalyst Control Center App

  • Uninstall the AMD Catalyst Control Center first.
  • Open the Control Panel and select Programs.
  • Click Uninstall a program.
