iPhone passcode not working is one of the most common issues iPhone users face. While it can be annoying, there are several solutions that you can try to fix this problem on your own.

Use iTunes to Restore your iPhone and Fix Passcode Not Working Issue

To begin the process of restoring your iPhone, open iTunes on your computer. Make sure your device is connected, and then wait for it to sync and back up automatically. Once this is done, select “Restore iPhone” from the iTunes menu to start the restoration process.

Reboot your iPhone Mobile Device

Another solution is to reboot the device. Rebooting will help refresh the system and can often eliminate minor software glitches. In many cases, it should be enough to fix any issues with the iPhone passcode not working properly.

Use Third-Party Software on your iPhone

You can try using various software programs like EaseUS, MobiUnlock, or FoneGeek. Simply connect your device to a computer and follow the instructions given by the software.

To avoid any data loss, make sure you back up your iPhone once in a while by going to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Backup and turning on Backup followed by clicking on Back Up Now.

Update iPhone Device to the Latest Software Version

Try updating the device to the newest version of iOS. The update process may take some time, depending on how much content you have stored on your device. Before attempting an update, make sure that your phone has enough storage space for it to run correctly.

Open Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage to see how much space is available. If insufficient, delete some content so there’s room for the new update without deleting existing apps or files that need to be kept (such as photos).

Once upgrading, iOS devices with passcodes require users to enter their passcodes prior to updating their phones’ software versions if they have forgotten theirs.

Remove or Disable the Passcode from iPhone

  • On the Home screen, tap Settings.
  • Tap Touch ID & Passcode, then enter your passcode.
  • In the Device Passcode section, tap Turn Passcode Off to disable it and turn off Touch ID (if you have a dual device).
  • After disabling your passcode, reboot your iPhone so that its memory can be refreshed and restored to factory settings (this action will clear all data stored in memory).

Reset all Settings on your iPhone Device

  • Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap on Reset All Settings.
  • Reboot your iPhone by holding the Sleep/Wake button and Home button until you see the Apple logo on your screen, or it starts up to let go of both buttons, then press them once more until you return to your home screen.
  • Try using Touch ID again for unlocking your iPhone or passcode, as well as FaceID if you’re using it instead of the biometric style authentication method, which should fix this issue easily with no help from the Apple support team needed at all!

We hope these tips will help you fix the iPhone passcode not working issue. If you’re still having problems with your device, feel free to contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store near you.
