Solution #1 – Restart your Web Browser

Exit your web browser and wait for a few seconds. Relaunch it and try logging in to LastPass again. Check if you still encounter the error message.

Solution #2 – Restart your Computer

If a quick restart on your browser does not work, you can reboot your computer.

  • Exit all running apps on your computer.
  • Shut down your Mac or PC and wait for a few seconds.
  • Power on your Mac or PC and relaunch your web browser.
  • Try to log in to LastPass.

Solution #3 – Clear your Browser Cache Data

  • For Google Chrome, click the More button.
  • Select More tools.
  • Choose Clear browsing data.
  • Set the Time Range to All Time.
  • Choose Cache and Cookies.
  • Click Clear Data.
  • If you are using Mozilla Firefox, click the More button.
  • Go to Options.
  • Select Privacy and Security.
  • Choose History.
  • Set the values to clear the cache and click OK.
  • For Safari, select History.
  • Choose Clear History.
  • Set the values.
  • Click Clear History.
  • If you are using Microsoft Edge, click the Menu button.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Settings again.
  • Choose Privacy, search, and services.
  • Go to Clear Browsing Data.
  • Click Choose what to clear.
  • Set the values and click Clear Now.

Solution #4 – Use LastPass on a Different Web Browser

If you cannot resolve the error message, you can try using a different browser to access your LastPass account. Make sure that you install the LastPass extension first on your next web browser and log in using your Master Password.

You can contact LastPass customer support for further assistance. On your browser, go to https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass. Click the ChatBot at the bottom of your screen to talk to a customer service representative.
