How to Avail & Buy an AppleCare+ Plan for your Apple Device
To avail of AppleCare Plus, you need to purchase the protection subscription plan within 60 days from the date of your purchase. Beyond that, Apple will no longer allow you to sign up for the AppleCare+. Apple will remind you of the remaining days you have left before your eligibility ended.Â
The cost of purchasing the AppleCare+ varies on the device you are using. You can pay the full cost upfront or avail of the monthly installments. AppleCare coverage applies to an iMac, MacBook, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, HomePod, AirPods, AirTags, Apple TV, Apple displays as well as iPod.
Now, some users are asking if they can cancel their AppleCare Plus. While the plan offers security and added protection, not everyone finds it worthy of their monthly payment. If you can better take care of your Apple device without the AppleCare+, you can cancel it within 30 days of purchasing the plan.

How to Cancel and Get Refund for AppleCare or AppleCare+ Protection Plan
If you paid your AppleCare Plus coverage protection plan in full and, you cancel your AppleCare+ within 30 days of your purchase, you will receive a full refund. Apple will only deduct any service that you have received. However, if you cancel after 30 days of your purchase, you will get a prorated refund of the unexplored AppleCare coverage. Any service will still be deducted from your refund.
For those who are paying their monthly AppleCare+ monthly, once you cancel the plan, your billing will not be renewed.
- To cancel your AppleCare+ plan, navigate to the Settings menu of your device.
- Select your name.
- Go to Subscriptions.
- Now, select AppleCare+.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
If you cannot see AppleCare+ under your subscriptions, it means that you have not finished setting up your account. However, if you did finish the setup but still cannot see the AppleCare+ plan before canceling it, you will need to contact Apple support.
