Using Kindle to Read Instapaper and Pocket Articles

Now, you can read your bookmarked articles directly to your Amazon Kindle device. What you need to do first is to create a bookmark button that will send these articles to your Kindle. Once you have a bookmark, sending is easy and fast.

How to Send Instapaper Articles to Kindle

  • Login to Instapaper on their official website.
  • At the bottom of the page, look for the More button. Click to open menu option.
  • Choose How to Save.
  • Look for the Save to Instapaper button. Then, drag the button to your bookmarks bar.
  • Go to Settings and look for Kindle.
  • On the 3rd option or under the Send to Kindle Email box, type in your Kindle email. Your Kindle email is usually your username followed by @kindle.com.
  • Click Save Kindle Preferences.
  • A pop-up message will appear indicating Kindle Automatic Delivery option.
  • Check the option Send my Unread articles to Kindle automatically.
  • Click Save Kindle Preferences.
  • Click Get Kindle Bookmarklet.
  • A pop-up message will appear. Drag the Send to Kindle button to your bookmarks bar.
  • On your Amazon account, go to Kindle’s Personal Document Settings.
  • Add your Instapaper address on the approved addresses.
  • To read an article from your Instapaper feed to your Kindle, simply click the Send to Kindle Bookmarklet.

How to Send Pocket Articles to Kindle

  • Login your Pocket account on their official website.
  • Click Authorize when prompted to connect to your account.
  • Choose a plan that you want for your Pocket account.
  • Next, click Create Delivery.
  • You can customize your article delivery depending on the date, time, and frequency of delivery.
  • When done, click Start Delivery.
  • Go to Kindle’s Personal Document Settings.
  • Add in your email address and copy your Pocket2Kindle address to the list of approved addresses.
  • Click Start Delivering Now.
