How to Download & Install Firmware or Device Software Updates on your JBL Wireless Headphones & Bluetooth Earbuds
It is easy to download and install available updates for your JBL wireless in-ear headphones & TW earbuds’ device software. All you need is to access the JBL Headphones app on your mobile device.
If you don’t have the JBL Headphones app on your Android phone or iPhone, download it first. Go to the Apple App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android devices. On the search bar, look for the JBL Headphones app and install it. You can also go to the official JBL website to get the app from there.
After downloading the JBL Headphones app, follow the steps below to update your JBL wireless headphones & earbuds with the latest firmware version.
- Open the JBL Headphones app.
- Look for the JBL earbuds that you want to update. Tap to open it.
- You will see the information about your JBL earbuds. If there is an available update, you will see an orange circle. Tap it.
- Tap the Install button.
- Wait until you see the Restart message. You will see the information screen of your JBL earbuds once done.Â
Note that you need to place your JBL earbuds near your mobile device during the entire upgrading process. Also, avoid closing the JBL Headphones app until finished.

Supposedly newer highly rated earbuds not supported. I bought the JBL 225TWS which when I bought them, were supposed to be “incredible bass, voice assistant, great sounds quality, etc.” I’ve only had them 6 months and they’re not supported on the app. Would be nice if then to make you aware before you buy, because I would have spent more knowing that it had after pos support, which most of them have, just not mine. Irritated at a good company for bs service.

It seems a firmware update was finished wrong, and I’m not able to connect to the earbuds anymore through the app. Bluetooth connections with phone is still working, but extra functions of the app are not usable.
Any idea how to go back to the previous settings and try again. Is there something like a factory reset for these buds?

i’ve JBL endurance peak ii i doesn’t speak when i conect it to the mobile or computer, it gives only tunes, i don’t know what is the meaning of the tunes,
you know that there’s some headphones when connecting it it says bluetooth connected, when you make it off it says bluetooth is disconnected and when the battary is low it says that and the rate of the batary and so on so forth, so should you guide me how to replace the tunes with speech like i explained, i’ll be very gratful and thankful for you.
